Privacy Policy
HIPAA
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act was passed in 1996. HIPAA, Title II required the Department of Health and Human Services to issue patient privacy protections. These included provisions designed to encourage electronic transactions of health care information and required new safeguards to protect the security and confidentiality of health information. Health care providers were required to comply with these federal standards beginning April 14, 2003. Our practice is in full compliance with HIPAA.
